Yellowsack dumpster bag vs. dumpster rental
Home conversions and renovations can be a messy and expensive business. While the traditional debris removal option has always been to use dumpsters on construction or renovation projects, Yellowsack provides a cheaper, more flexible, and efficient service with its cost-effective dumpster bags. We thought we'd give you some pros and cons about both so that you can decide what works best for your project.
Yellowsack dumpster bag
Pros
There are plenty of benefits of using a Yellowsack dumpster bag; the main reasons people choose Yellowsack is price, convenience, and flexibility. Our service offers fixed prices, and there are no hidden fees. You can keep your Yellowsack for as long as needed, and there is no extra cost for the weight.
We only allow 3000 lbs of debris due to the weight limit of the bags. Since the bags are smaller than a dumpster, it is easier to place the dumpster bag on private property so that you don't have to pay for a city permit. Unlike the heavy dumpster, you can also put your Yellowsack dumpster on soft surfaces with minimal damage to your lawn and yard.
If you have a large project, we can pick up the debris every day to minimize neighbor complaints.
With your yellowsack dumpster bags, you can easily separate your materials ready to be recycled and give back to the environment.
Cons
The downside of using a Yellowsack dumpster bag is that if you are demolishing a large building, then a dumpster bag can be too small for this purpose.
Dumpster rental
Pros
If you are demolishing a large building and you require one or multiple 30-40 cubic yards dumpsters, renting a dumpster is the way to go. A dumpster bag will, in most cases, be too small for a large demolition project, and to rent a 30-40 cubic yard container will be less costly.
Cons
The downsides of renting a dumpster are the pricing and time constraints. Renting a dumpster can have multiple hidden fees, which makes the total price unknown. Usually, renting a dumpster only includes 5-7 rental days, and you have to pay extra if you need it for longer. Also, there is an included 1-2 tonnes of debris, and you have to pay extra for excess weight. Another downside is that you have to pay for a permit to place the dumpster on a public street. All of these add to the total cost of a dumpster rental. All of your waste is in one container, minimizing the chances of recycling your waste. You can't place the dumpster on soft ground or sloped surfaces.
