Hazardous waste of any kind — paint, chemicals, batteries, tires, asbestos, food and liquids — and all treated wood, which California classifies as hazardous. Hazardous waste found in a bag carries a $100 fine.

No. Painted, stained, composite, or treated wood isn't clean wood. Painted and stained wood goes in as mixed debris; treated wood can't go in at all.

Yes, as mixed debris. Refrigerant is removed from appliances by a certified handler and the cost is included in the rate; mattresses and e-waste are recycled separately after sorting.

Yes. A mixed bag is charged at the mixed-debris rate. If the job needs two bags anyway, keeping clean wood or yard waste in its own bag gets that bag the lower rate — and more of it gets recycled.

We re-rate the bag at the published price for what's actually in it and charge the difference to the card on file. No penalty.

Anywhere on your private property or job site, within 20 ft of a public road, with nothing overhead — no low power lines or branches. The road needs to be at least 14 ft wide and not block paving, and the handles reachable from the truck side. On a public sidewalk? Order pickup for the earliest date available.

No — for either. The bag is delivered to your door, and we text you a photo when it lands. On pickup day, as long as the filled bag is where our truck can reach it, we collect it whether you're home or not — you get a text when the truck is close, with live tracking, and another when it's done.

Yes — every customer does. Your account shows the weight we collected, how much was recovered, and your recycling rate, per project and overall. Contractor accounts get weight tickets too.

No — 81% overall across everything we've hauled. Separated loads recover almost entirely: 99.9% for wood and green waste, 99.1% for concrete. Mixed loads recover far less — around a third for commingled construction debris — which is why separating pays, in recovery and in price.

Bay Area bags go to GreenWaste Zanker Resource Recovery Facility in San Jose; LA & OC bags go to Crown Recycling Services in Sun Valley. Both are certified sorting facilities — nothing goes straight to landfill.
