Guidance for separating of waste

You can throw a mix of all type of debris in one bag and we will price this as mixed waste. However if you have large quantities of waste, it will be both cost efficient and environmentally friendly to source separate the waste in different bags. By source separating the waste the recycling facility will reach a higher recycling rate.

Mixed debris

You can safely throw a mix of all type of debris in one bag. This can be furniture, carpet, all types of home appliances, empty cans of paint, wood and all other type of waste. The recycling facility will then source separate the waste on site. For mixed waste we achieve a recycling rate of up to 80%.

Do not throw: Hazardous waste, all current / battery, tire, food, liquid waste, heavy masses, plaster, bricks, dirt and concrete. These waste types are thrown in the bag an additional fee will be charged.

Wood, clean

Waste that contains more than 75% lumber by weight or volume. This includes lumber, doors, pallets, firewood, fencing, plywood, lumber used for cement forms and small amounts of painted lumber. Small amounts of metal affixed to the lumber such as nails, hinges or plastics are acceptable.

Do not throw: Large amount of painted lumber, window frame, flooring (hardwood), wood shingles. This will be priced as mixed waste. Pressure-treated lumber, railroad ties or other creosote treated wood are classified as hazardous waste and are not accepted

Brush/yard trimming

Load containing more than 75% of brush by weight or volume. Brush and tree trimmings, branches, tree rounds, tree chips, brush, leaves, and yard trimmings. All materials must be free from dirt. Tree rounds and trees with a length of 4-8’ should have a diameter of no more than 2’. Trees with a length of less than 4’ should have a diameter of no more than 3’.

Do not throw: BRUSH OVERSIZED– All brush and tree-trimmings that did not fit the previous criteria. No fibrous materials. If other debris is present it will be classified as mixed waste. Do not throw huge amounts of palms and ivy. These items are almost impossible to process by the recycling facility.

Concrete, bricks & stucco

Concrete, bricks & stucco with or without wire and rebar. Due to the maximum weight limit we only accept concrete, bricks and stucco in the medium Yellowsack. Do not fill concrete, bricks and stucco in the large Yellowsack.

Do not throw: Contaminated masses, organic material or other wastes such as plaster, plastic, etc. If load contains more than 50% dirt and / or base rock, lava rock or other rock materials it will be priced as dirt.

Do not throw: Contaminated masses or other wastes such as plastic, etc. May contain some concrete or trash items.

Deviation and surcharges

We will at the time of pick up check that the content of the sack is according to the order. If the content is not according to the order, the dumpster bag will be priced in the right category, and you will be charged for the difference.

If the Yellowsack is placed in such a way that we can not pick up the sack, or if it for any reason is no bags to pick up, we will still charge the Transport fee.

Placement of the Yellowsack dumpster bag

We collect the Yellowsack with crane trucks equipped with an articulating knuckle boom, so the Yellowsack must be placed at a maximum of 17 feet from the road without obstacles.

We recommend you place your dumpster bags in the drive way or in a place where the pick up truck will have easy access.
